Art Connection Rhode Island: Celebrating 13 Years of Connecting Lives With Art Arts Organization To Host Special Fundraising Event
Pawtucket, RI, April 3, 2024 – Art Connection Rhode Island (ACRI), a Pawtucket-based arts nonprofit, is hosting a special anniversary event at Shri Yoga, 390 Pine St., Pawtucket, RI, on April 26th from 5:30-8pm.
The event will include live music by Brooks & DeBossu, an auction/raffle of goods donated by local businesses, food from Harvest Kitchen and wines from Bottles Fine Wine.
“This is a truly collaborative event, celebrating the positive impact of art in our community,” said ACRI’s Program & Administrative Manager, Adrienne Wooster. “Shri Yoga, like ACRI, is a service-oriented network and we couldn’t be more excited to host at their beautiful location.”
Since 2011, ACRI has worked with artists to place over 1800 works of donated art with more than 110 RI non-profit community service organizations, including health clinics, behavioral healthcare facilities and family shelters for the benefit of the people they serve. ACRI also facilitates an art outreach program, bringing artists to teach after-school art classes to youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Newport, and at the South Providence Public Library.
“Proceeds will go to sustaining our programs,” said Wooster. “We are immensely grateful to the organizations and businesses who so generously donated for the cause.”
