2024 Art Selections in Progress!
It's been an exciting and eventful 2024 at ACRI! We will be having our eigth art selection of the year with Butler Hospital on August 29th... Stay tuned! AND in the meantime, check out some recent highlights:
We kicked off the year with a wonderful art selection with Woman's Fund of Rhode Island. They selected 9 pieces for their community conference space!
In March, the Comprehensive Community Action Plan of RI selected 18 pieces for their brand new health care facility in Warwick to be enjoyed by staff and patients alike!

In May, the Ronald McDonald House of Providence selected 28 pieces, mainly to be displayed in the bedrooms for the comfort and enjoyment of the children and families they serve. Two of Richard Harrington's paintings adorn the wall. And we'll have more images to come!
The Joyce House for Veterans also had an art selection with us in May! They chose 15 pieces to be displayed in their housing units and are currently in the process of installing. Hear what their House Manager had to say:
"As we progress towards working on getting everything mounted, I wanted to give some positive feedback. The Veterans were able to see all the pieces yesterday as a group, and began to select the individual items they wanted to be placed inside their apartments versus the hallways. A few guys got choked up with some of the images - one liked the large ship in the harbor as he was in the Navy; another picked the guitar painting as it reminded him of his friend he used to have a band with that passed away from suicide; another Vet liked the house by the water image done by Mr. Harrington, as it reminded him of a childhood vacation spot and his love of the breach. So, they are already having a positive impact. We'll keep you posted once everything is up. Take care." ~ David Gendreau, BA, CADC (LCDP)
In June, CCAP Behavioral Healthcare selected 27 pieces of artwork from us which are in the process of being installed and will be displayed during their ribbon cutting ceremony for their facility expansion in Cranston. Pictures also to come!
At the end of June, Oasis International selected 30 pieces of artwork for their brand new building expansion. We were honored to be invited to their ribbon cutting ceremony and to see all of the work on display!
Check out these images from Oasis: Wendy and Herman in front of two donated pieces from Richard Harrington and David Kupferman, the new event and banquet space, artwork in the front hallway, Lt. Governor Sabina Matos and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse cutting the ribbon!
In July, the Refugee Dream Center of Providence selected 10 pieces for their community classroom. They will be picking the pieces up to install by the end of August!
Next up, we've got autumn art selections in the works with Wood River Health Services' Westerly location and with Rhode Island Tutorial & Educational Services. We'll keep you posted!
