2025 Q1 ACRI Impact
Art Connection Rhode Island has already made a powerful impact this year. Through dynamic art selections, engaging art classes, and vibrant community events, ACRI continues to infuse the Ocean State with creativity and connection.
In Q1 2025, ACRI donated over 80 pieces of artwork to 5 Rhode Island Nonprofits, and has partnered with 2 organizations to host youth art classes.
Collaborating with local nonprofits and artists, ACRI is transforming Rhode Island—one brushstroke at a time.
ABC At Knight featuring ACRI

In March, Art Connection Rhode Island was the featured Nonprofit at the ABC at Knight event. This recurring monthly series brings community leaders into the Knight Memorial Library to discuss their stories, inspirations and accomplishments.
To set the stage, the Library was transformed into an Art Gallery featuring donated artwork by local Rhode Island artists. The event began with a conversation with Doug Victor, the President of Knight Memorial Library and Wendy Ingram, ACRI’s Founder and Board Chair. They delved into Wendy’s journey and the process through which ACRI facilitates the donation and reception of artwork.
From there, the discussion explored the profound impact that these donations have had on the communities served by Nonprofits. Edilberta Trejo from South Providence Community Library spoke to how she originally connected with ACRI to set up Youth Art Classes at her library, which then lead her to an art selection and the deep influence the artwork has since had on the library.
The event concluded with our new Program Manager, Rhea Levin, reviewing her role and upcoming opportunities at ACRI, as well as a special thank you from Doug Victor, the President of Knight Memorial Library.
If you missed the event, you can watch the recap video on our Instagram!

Art Classes
Art Connection Rhode Island is proud to partner with the MLK Community Center in Newport and the South Providence Community Library to inspire the next generation through art.
At the MLK Community Center, youth in the after-school program are exploring their creativity through painting and collaborative mural-making. Their collective artwork will soon brighten the center’s hallways, serving as a lasting reflection of their voices and imagination.
Meanwhile, at South Providence Community Library, after-school art classes provide a space for children to express themselves, develop artistic skills, and create meaningful pieces to take home and share with their families—fostering pride and connection through creativity.
