Connecting Art with Community
As the leaves begin to change and we enter into a new season, we’re reflecting on the impact we’ve made this summer. The milestones reached, and partnerships formed.
We’ve hosted Art Exhibits with new partners, supported the DPW New Building Opening, and moved our offices. We’re excited to dive deeper and share these highlights from the past few months.
ACRI Earns 2025 Platinum Seal of Transparency
We’re proud to announce that Art Connection Rhode Island has earned the 2025 Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency — the highest level of recognition for nonprofit accountability and impact!

2024 Annual Report
We’re thrilled to share the launch of our 2024 Annual Report. Last year, ACRI proudly reached a major milestone; 2,090 original artworks placed across 133 nonprofit service areas throughout Rhode Island.
These placements bring art into the daily lives of individuals and communities, regardless of socioeconomic background. Read the full report today.
Public Art Partnership with
Providence Department of Public Works
On August 5, ACRI was honored to join the Providence Department of Public Works (DPW) for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new headquarters on 75 Chapman Avenue.
As part of the celebration, ACRI placed the artwork JH 3-4 Spring Waters by artist David Kupferman, a warm and contemplative piece that now welcomes staff and visitors in the main lobby.
The event featured remarks from Mayor Brett Smiley and DPW Director Trish Coyne-Fague, who both reflected on the essential role of public works and the importance of investing in inspiring, dignified workspaces for those who serve our city.
We congratulate the DPW team on this exciting new chapter and we’re grateful to contribute art that becomes part of their story.
Providence Housing Authority Art Installation
Also in August, the Providence Housing Authority (PHA) hosted an art installation exhibit featuring works donated by local artists through Art Connection Rhode Island’s Art Placement Program.
Now permanently displayed in the PHA Community Room, these artworks create a warm, welcoming environment for residents to gather—supporting well-being and healing through the power of art.
At ACRI, we believe that original art should be accessible to all, and this installation is a beautiful reminder of how art can transform and enrich shared spaces.
We’re deeply grateful to PHA for their partnership and to the artists whose generosity brings daily inspiration and joy to this vibrant community space.
Exhibit Celebrates the Power of Community Art
This summer, ACRI was proud to collaborate with The Wingate Residences on the East Side for a special art exhibit held July 17–21 and September 8–15.
The shows featured artwork by senior residents alongside original pieces from ACRI’s Art Placement Program, a beautiful blend of creativity and connection.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Opening Receptions on July 17 and Sept 8, where we witnessed firsthand how art can transform spaces and uplift spirits. If you’d like to host an Exhibit with ACRI, please email us at office.artconnectionri@gmail.com.

Pizza, Prizes, and
Community Support!
ACRI partnered with Flatbread Pizza Co. in Providence for a Pizza Fundraiser on August 19, an evening filled with good food, great company, and generosity.
Between raffle tickets, pizza orders, and online donations, $464.43 was raised to support our Art Placement Program. We’re deeply thankful to everyone who came out to support ACRI, every slice (and raffle ticket!) helped us continue our mission to bring art to spaces that need it most.
A New Chapter: ACRI Moves to a New Office
We’re thrilled to share that Art Connection Rhode Island has a new home!
While we’ve loved our time at 36 Park Place, we’ve officially packed up, said our goodbyes, and settled into our new space at 80 Fountain Street, Suite 94, in Pawtucket.
We’re so grateful to remain in this vibrant, creative, and community-oriented city that continues to inspire so much of our work. Our new studio space places us among fellow artists and change-makers, creating new opportunities for collaboration.
We look forward to welcoming our supporters, artists, and partners to our new home, a space that reflects the creativity and purpose that drive everything we do.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Story
Together, we’re building a more connected and creative Rhode Island, one artwork, one partnership, and one community at a time. Stay connected with us online and keep an eye out for exciting updates as we approach the end of 2025!
