Your one time gift to the Art Connection Campaign makes it possible for people in the most marginalized communities in Rhode Island understand the healing power of art.

BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF ART!

On November 2, 2017 Art Connection-RI completed the placement of 20 original works of art at Lucy’s Hearth, Middleton, RI.  After one month of enjoying the art, Program Director, Jennifer Barrera shares this story:

“We have a 13-year-old boy who is one of seven children living here with their Mother.  Mom is a recovering alcoholic.  He has been displaying some sullen and angry behavior as he becomes more aware of the situation and as he navigates through life, a new school and friends.  Just the other day I had the longest conversation with him about three abstract pieces [recently placed by Art Connection-RI] hanging in the hallway.  It was so nice to hear him talking about something other than his tragic story and it was a great way to understand how his brain works and to hear his opinion about the art."

Please note: Your contribution will be used to safe-keep, handle, transport and install donated artworks to the highest standard of preparation.  We will apply your donation to wherever the need is greatest.
